Saturday, February 2   9:00am - 5:00pm

The Landscape Architect Registration Examination (L.A.R.E.) is unlike any test you have ever taken. It is designed to test your competence to practice landscape architecture. It is not a design competition. As a professional licensing exam, it tests your knowledge, skills, and abilities that directly relate to protecting public health, safety, and welfare.

Dr. Thomas Nieman will be teaching the course.  Dr. Nieman is a Professor Emeritus of Landscape Architecture at the University of Kentucky and has been involved with landscape architecture licensure for many years. Having served on the CLARB, Board of Directors and as President of the Kentucky Landscape Architecture Registration Board for many years, Dr. Nieman's licensure preparation experience includes writing, pretesting and grading national exams. Tom Nieman is known for his review sessions across the nation and has presented review sessions at the ASLA National meeting for over a decade. His teaching style is based on the fact that, "Most often, those who fail do not do so from a lack of knowledge. Rather, they fail because they do not know how to take the exam. You can pass."

WI ASLA will provide Lunch and Coffee on Saturday February 2nd and you are required to bring a laptop to participate in the review.
